Process

onsiteproject

1) SALES – The ever important first step that can lead you down the right path. Turf United is an owner’s liaison working in conjunction with vendor sales teams. Constant contact with the latest trends in turf along with tried and true systems will make your field state of the art.

2) DESIGN– The design phase is our sweet spot. Project managers and architects must work together from the start to catch issues before they become problems. Projects are only as strong as their project team.

3) BUILD – Great buildouts have many common factors, nothing is more important than a consistent presence on the job from start to finish. Turf United project managers are involved in the 1st two steps and that pays dividends on the build phase.

4) MAINTAIN – We take pride in our work and nothing shows that more than a well maintained turf field. FieldMedix extends the life of your turf well beyond your warranty period and you will have a 24/7 emergency contact as the show must always go on.

Out of Sight vs On Site

We cannot stress enough the importance of having an on site project manager and site managers that are on the same page. It is nearly impossible for project managers thousands of miles away to understand what is happening on the ground. Local project managers also discover challenges on the specific site before they become a problem.

World Class Installation Teams

The best technicians get squeezed out of a low bid world, but have found a home with Turf United. Our collection of turf installers are veterans of the trade. Often times they were on the site 12 years earlier on resurfacing jobs. Their memory and expertise cannot be put on paper and is worth the extra money they deserve.

On Demand

Our Turf Force specializes in onsite repair and maintenance to give your field good looks and longevity. What is an extra 2-3 years worth? Often times we find it is easily a 200% return on your investment in annual service, and your field looks newer, longer. Keep that fresh grass look and a safe field.

Delivery Methods

DESIGN BUILD RFP

NEW/RESURFACING

Fast Track method is put in place most often on resurfacing projects where new engineering is not needed. Not allowed in all states but definitely the method of choice for time sensitive projects. A new twist on the DB-RFP method is to run the bid through a COOP, speeding up the turnaround time even more.

    INHOUSE DESIGN

Inhouse design build saves time and money on most jobs that do not require extensive engineering or site work. Most commonly used for resurfacing projects or single field projects. Turf United follows strict certified field building guidelines by the ASBA.

    BUILD

The Turf United project team uses the most advanced technology in base work and turf installation. Our project managers use on site reporting and earn our paycheck in pre-construction to help catch costly mistakes in design.

    MAINTAIN

Lifetime service agreements built into the costs on the front end can add 3-5 years of life to your field. We guarantee an average return on your investment in maintenance at over 200%!

DESIGN-BID-BUILD

Low Bid

Most commonly used method on public works projects. Owner is at risk to hiring an unqualified contractor so an architect should be hired to run the bid and stick with high standards.

    DESIGN

The project team will start and finish with the architect. You want your architect to be highly involved and specialized in artificial turf. We recommend hiring an architect with ASBA credentials and up to speed with the STC trends in product design.
